Roasted Pork Belly With Hoi Sin Sauce |
Ingredients :
- 400g pork belly, about 1.5cm thick
- 1 tsp sugar
- dash of pepper
- 1 cube of Chinese red fermented bean curb, if don't have the red color, use the normal white color bean curb
- 1 tbsp rose wine
- 1 tsp of five spice powder
- 2 tsp honey
- 1/4 tsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Hoi Sin sauce by Lee Kum Kee
Method :
- cut away the skin of the pork belly.
- marinate all the ingredients in a bowl, cover with plastic cling and keep in the fridge for overnight.
- on the next day, take it out from the fridge and leave it till the room temperature before roasting it.
- put the pork belly on an aluminum foil and roast.
- let it cool down then cut slice.
Using AirFryer :
- preheat at 180'C for 2 mins
- roast at 180'C for 8mins
- then set to 200'C for another 6 mins
( flip the pork belly in between )
Using Conventional Oven :
- preheat at 200'C
- roast at 200'C for 18mins
- then at 220'C for another 4 mins
( flip the pork belly in between )
( *Please note : you may need to adjust the cooking time as every oven may be varied in size, height and depth. )
