Minced Pork Broccoli Rice |
Serves : 1 to 2
Ingredients :
- 250g minced pork
- 1 cup of jasmine rice and water for cooking the rice
- mixed veg ( corn, carrot cube, green beans )
- water for steaming the rice

For Marinate :
- 3/4 tbsp glutinous rice wine
- 1/4 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Premium Light Soy Sauce by Lee Kum Kee
- 1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Soy Sauce For Seafood
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp corn flour
- dash of pepper
- 2 tsp of sesame oil
For Sauce :
- 3 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Soy Sauce For Seafood
- 2 tsp of fried onion or garlic oil
- 1 tbsp sugar
For Sauce :
- 3 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Soy Sauce For Seafood
- 2 tsp of fried onion or garlic oil
- 1 tbsp sugar
Blanching the broccoli |
Method :
- marinate the ingredients for at least 30mins, then add the mixed veg.
- boil water in a pot, blanch the broccoli, do not cook the broccoli too long.
- once the broccoli is done put them in a pot of tap water for a few seconds, so that the color of the broccoli will look fresh.
- steam the rice as normal on top of the boiled water used for blanching the broccoli, when the rice is almost half cook ( almost 10mins ), layer the minced pork on top of the rice, cover and continue to steam the rice for another 10mmins or till the rice and mince pork are cooked.
- in a small bowl, add all the ingredients for the sauce, stir till the sugar almost dissolved.
- once the rice and mince pork are cooked, lay the broccoli around the bowl and pour the sauce over the minced pork and serve.
