How do you know if your cake is cooked?

As all of us own different sizes of ovens, sometimes we can not just base on the instruction on how long we are supposed to bake, roast or grill our food. Therefore it is best that we run a test. Take for example, if the instruction says "bake in the oven for 20mins", due to our ovens come with different height and sizes, if your oven has a lower ceiling, then you may burn your cake!

So, the best way to check if your cake is cooked is, to use a chopstick or a stick, poke into the cake. If the chopstick is clean when pulled out, that  means your cake is cooked. If otherwise where you can see some liquid or mess clinging onto the chopstick, that means it is not cooked.
