Steamed sesame chicken |
Serves : 2 pax
Ingredients :
- 4 to 5 pieces of chopped chicken
- about 2 inches of ginger, sliced fine stripes
- a stalk of spring onion, cut 1 1/2inches in length
- 2 tbsp of Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp of Penang Ghee Hiang Sesame Oil
- 1/2 tbsp of Chinese cooking wine
Method :
- clean the chicken and pad dry then put in a bowl.
- add all the ingredients to the chicken (except ginger and spring onions), rub the chicken with the sauces.
- add the ginger, lay some of the ginger underneath the chicken and sprinkle some on top, cover with cling wrap leave it marinated for 15mins.
- unwrap the clip wrap, put the chicken to steam on high fire for about 20mins.
- once done, sprinkle the spring onions on top and serve with white Jasmine rice.
Note : this dish goes well with white rice, in order to save the gas and time, you can steam the rice together with the chicken, put the chicken on the lower tier and the rice on the upper tier of the steamer.
